Land and Topography

We have partridge from cover crops, and pheasants driven over sloping meadows and arable from high woodland, providing sporting and challenging shooting for all levels of shots.

Typical Itinerary

​

We meet at the shoot room at 9am for coffee and instructions from the keeper. Generally two drives then elevenses then another drive or two before returning to the shoot room for lunch. After lunch we head back out to the field to gain the bag and then return for tea. After the clocks change we tend to shoot through and have lunch at the end of the day but we are happy to tailor the day to your needs.

Hospitality

​

All food and drink throughout the day is included, this will start with coffee and pastries in the morning, hot elevenses, a cooked lunch and all wines, spirits and soft drinks.

About the hosts

​

Your main host is William Nobles, the owner and head gamekeeper who will guide you through the day and he is assisted by his wife, Emily who does the splendid job of feeding everyone. They are both very competent, amiable and congenial and do whatever they can to ensure everyone has a most enjoyable day.

The Shoot covers 7000 acres of land on three Estates near the Village of Tarrant Gunville. With many drives to choose from in classic Dorset downland and deep valleys, woodland and hedgerows we provide partridge and pheasant shooting to suit all levels of sport.
